That mother is a brand evangelist. She regularly shops at Kohl’s and gained brief fame for promoting one of their products. Companies can harness the power of these brand evangelists to promote their products and business. Many companies already do this, for a handful of well-known people, but many do not offer opportunities to bring in more brand evangelists.
The best salesperson for your company is another customer. Nothing can replace an informal, positive review from a friend or family member. Brand evangelists are one of the most effective ways to connect with customers on a personal level.
